I am recruiting on an exclusive basis for my Client based in Wakefield for an experienced Marketing Manager.
You will report to the company Head of Commercial and will be responsible for overseeing the day to day marketing activities for the marketing department.
Duties of the Marketing Manager include;
Responsibility for motivating, developing and managing the marketing team that currently consists of two full-time Marketing Assistants and one Marketing Executive. Their roles presently cover areas including but not limited to email marketing, print advertising, direct mail, social media, PR, link earning, product descriptions, content writing, onsite video content, TV advertising and marketplace trading.
Responsible for forming the onsite marketing campaign calendar for input and sign off by the Head of Commercial before overseeing its delivery.
Collaborating with the Head of Commercial to form marketing budgets and assist on projecting revenues, adjusting marketing plans where necessary to meet company objectives and optimising sales for different categories to be in sync with company manufacturing capacity.
Effective communication and coordinating of all marketing campaigns and promotions throughout the business, including applicable updates to pricing.
Collaborating with the Head of Brand & Creative to define onsite content briefs for sign off by the Head of Commercial, then subsequently overseeing the marketing proofing stage before new content is deployed.
Input and sign off for the email marketing campaign calendar and overseeing delivery.
Overseeing effective delivery of KPIs for email sales channel in terms of % of overall revenue from both marketing and transactional emails.
Oversee development of email marketing strategy, including lead generation, segmentation, dynamic content and re-marketing strategies, utilising A/B and MVT testing.
Day to Day internal lead on paid media sales channel, collaborating with applicable external agencies to ensure effective delivery on KPIs including spend budgets, revenue and ROI targets set by the Head of Commercial.
Day to Day internal lead on conversion rate optimisation (CRO), working to ensure achievement of company KPIs for conversion rate, collaborating with applicable external agencies where applicable to manage their effective delivery on specific objectives.
Collaborate with Senior Business Analyst to develop best-in-class SEO strategy and subsequently manage the effective delivery of all elements that require implementation through the marketing department such as; onsite content, blogs, PR, product descriptions and link earning.
Collaborate with Senior Business Analyst to ensure effective delivery of KPIs for organic sales channel in terms of % of overall revenue.
Develop and implement legislation compliant marketing initiatives designed to increase onsite opt-in conversion rate and growth of the company marketing database.
Developing strategy and subsequently overseeing delivery for campaigns that are designed to specifically drive new customer acquisition.
Developing strategy and overseeing delivery for campaigns that are designed to specifically increase customer lifetime value.
Developing and implementing cross-selling marketing initiatives across different product categories designed to increase conversion, average order value and customer lifetime value.
Collaborating with Senior Buyer & Trend Specialist to optimise sales through product selection, factoring seasons, new products and own-brand products.
Collaborating with Trade Business Manager to develop and manage implementation of effective marketing for the ‘trade division’ of the business.
Manage effective delivery of all company PR, managing external agencies where applicable.
Identifying, forming and managing strategic partner relationships and collaborations designed to increase new customer acquisition and sales.
Maintaining effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant people within the company are kept informed of marketing objectives.
Staying up to date with the marketing industry, including new platforms and tools, ensuring all marketing campaigns comply with best practice in the industry.
Reviewing and reporting independent consumer review performance, sharing observations and recommendation actions with the management team.
Managing competitor benchmarking for product range, pricing, user experience, marketing and service. Making recommendations to the Head of Commercial where considered necessary.
Develop and implement marketing initiatives designed to increase consumer sample orders and subsequent sales conversion rate from those orders.
Produce reports for the Senior Management Team, including detailed monthly reports and reports that highlight the key findings and performance results of both new and key marketing campaigns.
Understanding all legislation that is applicable to the company marketing activity, including but not limited to GDPR and the ASA, ensuring compliance and notifying the management team of any issues that require attention.
Knowledge & Experience Required;
A degree in Marketing would be an advantage as would CIM qualification.
Minimum two years of experience in a similar e-commerce business to consumer marketing role.
Experience of the full range of the Marketing Mix, including Tone of Voice.
Experience with Mailchimp (or similar), Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Adobe photoshop etc.
Driven and results orientated individual with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
Positively react, adapt, initiate and implement changes to plans at short notice within a fast-paced retail environment.
Strong analytical, project management and organisational skills.
A minimum of five years marketing experience.
Confident and dynamic personality.
Strong creative outlook.
This is a full-time position Monday to Friday
An annual salary of up to £35,000 will be offered DOE
