Trainee Quantity Surveyor Role.
I'm working with a small but growing Commercial Property Developer who are recruiting for a trainee Quantity Surveyor.
A significant increase in Project wins and their appointment to the contractor framework for a national Retail giant means they are looking to add to their Commercial team and appoint a trainee/junior Quantity Surveyor.
Living locally to Bristol, the successful candidate will demonstrate that they are interested in developing a future within the construction industry. It expected that you will already by partly or fully qualified as a Quantity Surveyor, but day release and specific job training can be arranged/undertaken.
They are a driven and progressive company, looking for a similar individual to help them achieve their growth goals, whilst maintaining a respectable profit margin, and maximising opportunities as they arise.
This role could suit an individual moving from a trade background, looking to progress into the Commercial side of the construction industry as full training can be given.
They work mainly through Design and Build JCT contracts so some knowledge of these would be useful.
The main duties will include:
· Complete and submit tenders
· Price all Surveys
· Produce Monthly Valuations
· Invoice Works
· Order materials
· Attend contract meetings
· Monitor and report on costings to commercial manager by means of monthly CVR reports
You will need to work on your own initiative and carry out surveys on site with a qualified Surveyor.. This is a genuine opportunity for someone at the start of their career to get in with a business and really start carving out a career for themselves
Salary is negotiable, dependent on experience and qualifications.
